The public seminar organised by the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) of the University of Oulu offers a concise view on the latest research results produced in Tekes/GIGA funded COGNAC, CROSSNET, MITSE, IMT-A Evaluation, PANU and WINNER+ projects. Tekes' GIGA - Converging Networks programme has been running in 2005-2010.
The technical programme of the event has been built around three topics - cognitive networks, next generation radio access, and analyses and measurements for new network topologies - which introduce the challenges of alternative technologies for IMT-Advanced and other future wireless systems.
The event takes place on 11 January 2010 at 8:30 - 17:20 at the University of Oulu, lecture room L10.
The Programme will consist of invited talks from research partners and presentations by CWC's experts on the research areas of the seminar.
The public CWC GIGA Seminar 2010 is free of charge to all participants. Lunch and coffee are offered for registered participants.
