GIGA Annual Seminar'06

Monday 11 September

This is the first annual seminar of the 2005 launched GIGA national telecommunication programme. The aim of this seminar is to give an overview of the Finnish research in the field of future broadband telecommunication. The main scopes of the morning session are wireless access, seamless and secure broadband connection, and network support. The parallel poster session is presenting a wider view of Finnish research.

The scope of the seminar afternoon session is on the telecommunication business evolution, how the value networks and business models will change already in the near future because of VoIP, open WLAN, IP television etc.
