Dr. Carlos Pomalaza-Ráez
Dr. Carlos Pomalaza-Ráez is an electrical engineering professor at Indiana University-Purdue University, USA. He received a BSME and a BSEE degree from
Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Lima, Perú, in 1974, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette,
IN, in 1977 and 1980, respectively.
He has been a faculty member of the University of Limerick, Ireland, and of Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York.
He has also been a member of the technical staff at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of the California Institute of Technology where he was involved in
the design of the advanced receiver for the deep space program.
Currently, under the auspices of a Nokia-Fulbright Scholar Award, he is a visiting
professor at the Centre for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Finland. His research interests are wireless communications networks, computer
engineering, and signal processing.
