Become a Master's Thesis Student at CWC

Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) of the University of Oulu is offering an opportunity to pursue a Master’s Thesis work in a research project in the field of wireless communications.

Positions are available in research areas of mobile broadband communications (including IMT-A); signal processing in wireless communications; short range communications and measurements (including medical ICT); and wireless systems for security and defense. Details on project tasks will be given at later stages of the recruitment process.

The curriculum of the candidate should be in telecommunications engineering and should include topics covered in the following courses: mobile telecommunication systems; wireless communications; communication networks; and communication signal processing. Programming skills in C, C++, OPNET or Matlab are required. Good knowledge of English language, both written and oral, is also needed.

The duration of thesis writing is usually 6-8 months.
